Website design following the same brand style as I used for my business card.
Letterhead design for a covering letter.
Tweaks made to the wedding invitation me and Amy have been working on, cleaned up the typography and drew the heart accents properly. Planning on screen printing a limited amount using silver and mint green inks.

Gum
Gum by Jeff Baij. An audio file of the backwards talking scene in Twin Peaks, it runs back and forth through the backwards and forwards play of the dialogue. Then the words are written above and below the audio file in the exact place they play on the timeline.
This is inspiration for my new self initiated project which I'm doing about the number 100. And also because this scene is awesome.

Human Interaction GUI
For the last six weeks me and Amy (http://amytblog.blogspot.com) have been working on our green screen project. We based our idea for our human interface on the idea of someone changing from something quite likeable and light to someone quite dark and manipulative. To demonstrate this we wanted to take a real life example, so we based our piece on Charles Manson.
Here are a few screenshots:

Beat Generation GUI
For this project we were asked to produce a graphic user interface based on the beat generation. I chose to base it on William. S. Burroughs and his book Naked Lunch. I took segments of the book and fragmented them up to show the nature of the writing and structure. I then wrote out each line and cut it up on paper to mimic how he used to write his books. The imagery around it were abstract stop motion animations based on what was in the sentences around it, I then used John Frusciante's music over them because they had an eery fragmented quality.
Exploration GUI
For this project we were asked to produce a graphic user interface based on the word exploration. I decided to base it on exploring the language french and I based the words around the theme of seasons to make it easier to learn from. I then added in photos, video and sound to aid the learning of the french terms. I used a blurred effect to show how you begin to understand a new language, where at first its unrecognizable and then it becomes clear and understandable.
Excess Project
For this project, we got given the title of excess. I chose to do an idea based on the excess bonuses bankers we're being given, I then produced a website with a side scroller, which formed a rant about the bankers that progressively got bigger as the rant got more and more angry. I then added pop up windows on some of the words with extracts from articles and added a photo of moldy bread behind them to show bad money.

The Inside Light

I really like the final photographs for this project, especially the first, which has 'thief' reflected in his eyes, its a really subtle inclusion of the text and fits with the overall look of the photo. I also think the concept is really good and makes the photos more interesting as the words reflected mean something, which is personal to those in the photos.
Also the flash website for the project is nicely designed, using a book format and illuminating the words reflected in the photos

I Love You, But

This is a project by artists Alex Holder and Ross Neil, which is hand drawn illustrations and messages which follow the structure "I love you, but..."
The inspiration was the moment in a relationship when you don't love someone completely.
The site is really simply designed and lets the illustrations speak for themselves, the navigation is through a small thumbnail and takes you to the full page illustration with the message. The result is a mix of funny and sad messages of the reasons they aren't completely in love any more. My personal favourite is this, "I love you but, you wear sunglasses indoors"
The illustrations look amazing and compliment the text perfectly.
This is a simple idea and kept simple in the design, which works very well and doesn't detract from the underlying message.

Sweet Gifs

This is a really simple website, which is just pages of animated gifs. The backgrounds are tiled with the gifs and has a really simply design navigation in the top left, which doesn't detract from the gifs.
Some of them look a little rushed, but there are some really good ones if you look through the pages, especially this one on page 18.
The pages themselves would look really nice as backgrounds for websites, they'd create a bold first impression and would catch the viewers attention straight away.

Typeflash
This is just something for fun-- check out Typeflash (http://typeflash.com/) You can make your own little typography animation using some preset designs and then change the colour of the background and text. It's also got tools to change the leading and kerning, which I thought were pretty useful.
I could spend hours doing this!

Website Design Brief

This is the Crosstitch background to the website I'm designing for a University project. The brief is to design a site for a band with a least 5 links.
I chose the band Bishop Allen-- the crosstitch idea came from the homespun aesthetic of the band and I wanted to design something hand rendered to fit with this.
I hope the rest of the site comes together as I really like this as the starting point.

www.ertdfgcvb.ch

Check out this-- http://www.ertdfgcvb.ch/ its got some pretty cool interactive works (and the sites quite nice too)
Andreas Gysin has created this site for his experiments and ideas for interactive projects using shockwave and processing, among others. And if anyone can complete the fan and ball game, tell me your secret!
Also, there are some really useful links on page 3 for interactive designers.
