Bank of One Hundred New Notes

Here's the next two banknote designs for my 100 project.

The first is the 2010 version, I based it around the idea of the internet and design styles of now, I used the grid system as the background pattern and then a binary pattern and a depiction of the internet as the imagery.

The second note is the 2110 version, I based this around the idea of future technologies. I was influenced by code languages for the design, using the typeface used in Actionscript for the main note design. Then I built up code languages to form the image of a carbon nanotube used in nanotechnology, which is cutting edge technology.

Bank of One Hundred

An update of my 100 project, I've developed my idea to make each note show the year in which the value is based. For this, the 1910 version I decided to go with the imagery of a car, as this was revolutionised transportation around this time. Im then planning on having the 2010 note's imagery based on the internet and the progress of communication and the 2110 note's imagery based more on the further advancement of technology, maybe nanotechnology, using abstract imagery and adding technology onto the note itself.

Lots to do basically.

Money Has 8 Different Typefaces!

Working on my new project called "100" I've decided to go down the route if £100 and how the value of £100 has changed over 100 years and will change over the next 100 years. So I'm designing a banknote based on that of the UK banknote, except adding in my monetary values and imagery relating to my idea. So yea... 6 typefaces on this beast, it really shouldn't work but it does. Also a lot of time goes into making money, this right here has taken me pretty much all day... and its not finished........

The Devil and Daniel Johnston Title Sequence

My title sequence for the documentary film The Devil and Daniel Johnston. I was influenced by the way Johnston he recorded his music onto cassette tapes, so I decided to put the titles onto cassette tapes. Next I was influenced by his artwork and how he drew on his cassette tapes, so I made small stop motion animations to go over the cassettes. Then I cut this will footage of Johnston, to give the viewer a clue as to who he was before watching the film.

The music is True love will find you in the end by Daniel Johnston.

Videogrid by Ross Phillips

Here's a quick video from Decode exhibition in London, which we went to see last weekend. This piece was probably the most popular and simple thing there. As you can see people were having fun creating an animation that looked like they were passing a book to each other.
