Human Interaction GUI

For the last six weeks me and Amy (http://amytblog.blogspot.com) have been working on our green screen project. We based our idea for our human interface on the idea of someone changing from something quite likeable and light to someone quite dark and manipulative. To demonstrate this we wanted to take a real life example, so we based our piece on Charles Manson.

Here are a few screenshots:

A-B text

We were asked to produce signage using only text in 1hr 30mins. We decided to use perspective so you have to stand in a certain place in order the see the direction.

Beat Generation GUI

For this project we were asked to produce a graphic user interface based on the beat generation. I chose to base it on William. S. Burroughs and his book Naked Lunch. I took segments of the book and fragmented them up to show the nature of the writing and structure. I then wrote out each line and cut it up on paper to mimic how he used to write his books. The imagery around it were abstract stop motion animations based on what was in the sentences around it, I then used John Frusciante's music over them because they had an eery fragmented quality.

Exploration GUI

For this project we were asked to produce a graphic user interface based on the word exploration. I decided to base it on exploring the language french and I based the words around the theme of seasons to make it easier to learn from. I then added in photos, video and sound to aid the learning of the french terms. I used a blurred effect to show how you begin to understand a new language, where at first its unrecognizable and then it becomes clear and understandable.
